Dear Readers

Author: Fr Mieczysław Piotrowski S.Chr.

Nobody should be surprised that people who love sin try to discredit, laugh at and humiliate the Catholic Church, even resorting to physical violence. In committing evil, they feel better when society starts to call evil good, and since the Church teaches the world constantly about human sin, the justice of God and the last judgement, they direct all their hatred and aggression against the Church. The Lord Jesus said: “(The world) hates Me because I testify against it that its works are evil” (Jn 7:7) and “I have chosen you out of the world—therefore the world hates you. […] If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also” (Jn 15:19–20).

Our greatest treasure is the real presence of Christ, who lives and acts in the Catholic Church. In the sacrament of penance, He forgives our sins; in the mystery of the Eucharist, meanwhile, he makes us partakers of His glory, physically and materially: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you” (Jn 6:53). “The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?” (1Cor 10:16). That is why every day we entrust our whole life to Christ through Mary. Let us remain constantly in the state of sanctifying grace, and if ever we commit a mortal sin, then let us immediately go to the sacrament of reconciliation. Let us pray the rosary every day, read the Holy Bible, and as often as possible receive Jesus in the Holy Communion. That is the only way to overcome difficulties here on earth, as well as to attain fullness of joy in heaven. Let us take this road and proclaim the truth to others so that, “all flesh shall see the salvation of God” (Lk 3:6).

Praying for your enemies and remembering those “who are far away, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him” (Acts 2:39), let us try to respond to the continuous appeal of the Catholic Church communities from different countries. Thanks to your prayers and offerings to the publishing fund, we can send Love One Another! for free to mission countries as well to places where Christians are experiencing persecution.

However, you cannot neglect your country and your own future, which is why we ask you to propagate this magazine in your own community and gain new readers. This is especially important in the present situation when the media are promoting hostile ideas against Christians and when they call evil good.

The Blessed Mother, to whom we entrusted Love One Another! as Her very own, invites all of you to support this great work of evangelization.

The editorial team prays for your intentions every day, by praying the rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and every week a Mass is also offered for you.

With warm greetings and priestly
blessings Fr. M. Piotrowski SChr
